Michael Treble
Executive Chairman
Mr. Treble currently serves as Executive Chairman and consultant advisor. He also serves on the Board of Eveia Medical, Inc., a private diagnostics platform innovation company based in Boulder, Colorado and as an independent director of GenturaDX, a cassette based molecular diagnostics company in Hayward, CA.
Mr. Treble was a Director and President of Ibis BioSciences, Inc., a subsidiary of Isis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDQ: ISIS) from December 2004 to January 2009. Ibis is a molecular infectious disease platform company which serves the research, forensics, bio-warfare and hospital markets. Ibis was sold to Abbott Molecular in January 2008 for $215 million and a percentage of sales thru 2025.
From September 2000 to March 2003, Mr. Treble was President and CEO of NimbleGen Systems, Inc., a genomics based company that developed desktop systems to produce high density, custom DNA arrays for academic, bio-pharmaceutical and A-bio applications. NimbleGen was acquired by Roche for $272.5 million in July 2007.
Mr. Treble was also a Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Third Wave technologies, Inc. (NASDQ: TWTI), a leader in the genomics field, from July 1995 to July 2000.
Mr. Treble was also a Director of Gentra Systems, Inc., a private, venture backed DNA/RNA sample preparation company in Minneapolis, Minnesota, until its acquisition by Qiagen, NV (NASDQ: QGEN) in May 2006. He was a Director of LUNA Analytics, a proteomics development company in Blacksburg, Virginia until December of 2003 when the company’s technology was licensed to Bio-Rad Laboratories.
From 1991 to 2001, Mr. Treble was Co-Founder, Chairman of the Board and principal shareholder of Genetic Models, Inc., a supplier of genetically derived lab animals exhibiting human traits of hypertension and diabetes. The company was sold to Charles River Laboratories, Inc. in 2001.
Mr. Treble was an executive with A.M. Diagnostics, Inc., a publicly traded international analytical and clinical chemistry systems manufacturer, and served as its CEO from 1990 to 1992. His previous positions include Director of marketing and General Manager of Field Services for Roche Diagnostics and Marketing Manager for Abbott Diagnostics. Mr. Treble holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Canisius College and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Buffalo.
