Dave Lemus
VP Finance, Sigma-Tau Pharma
Mr. Lemus has recently joined Sigma Tau, a global pharmaceuticals company specialised in rare diseases and ultra-orphan drug indications, as key member of their senior management team.
Most recently he was the Chief Financial Officer of MorphoSys AG, one of Europe's leading biotechnology companies, with a focus on fully human antibodies. He joined the MorphoSys in 1998, and took the company public in 1999. Before joining MorphoSys, Mr. Lemus was with the international division of F. Hoffmann-La Roche serving as Controller and Operations Manager. Prior to this position he was Treasurer of Lindt & Sprüngli in Zurich, Switzerland and worked in treasury management at Electrolux AB.
Mr. Lemus presently also serves as Chairman of the Board of Proteros Gmbh, based in Munich, Germany. Proteros, co-founded by Nobel Prize winner Dr. Robert Huber, is a world leader in the field of X-ray protein structure analysis, and is active in integrated lead discovery with several pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners.
Mr. Lemus has a Master of Science/MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, and is also a Certified Public Accountant in the USA.
