APPLICATION CO-DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Features
Axela is currently identifying interested collaborators to participate
in an application development program for various modalities.
Axela provides:
- Expanded training and ongoing technical support
- Reduced pricing on a dotLab™ instrument platform and an initial supply
of consumables
- Exclusive support for an application allowing for original publication
- Early access to system upgrades, new sensor chemistries and software
enhancements
Collaborator provides:
- Formal Feedback on hardware/software/chemistry
- Access to preliminary
application data (extent to be determined)
Targeted Applications
The dotLab™ System lends itself to a number of very versatile
assay modalities which in turn can support the development of a
large variety of applications. We are interested in expanding the
systems demonstrated utility in the following areas:
Immunoassay: Immunoassays are used in a host of applications including
the detection and validation of specific biomarkers. Multiplexed assays with
future diagnostic value are of particular interest.
Biomolecule Interaction: The technology is also amenable to the study
of protein-protein interactions, nucleic acids and/or nucleic acid-protein
interactions.
Process Monitoring and Control: Rapid fermentation optimization,
hybridoma screening, purification development and activity monitoring are
facilitated by the small sample requirements and direct detection.
Substrate/Activity: Examples of applications include detecting and
measuring enzymatic activities such as proteases and kinases.
Immune Response: Measurement of panels of immunoglobulin directly
in biological samples.
Integration with Other Analytical Methods: The microfluidic component
of these sensors also provides great flexibility in coupling the sensors
to other technologies downstream, such as mass spectrometry. The dotLab™ system
may also provide advantages as a platform to extract more value from proprietary
content, such as novel affinity molecules or immunoreagents, by pairing them
with the real-time monitoring capabilities of our system.
